IELTS General Training Writing Task 1 Answer

Dear Sir,

I am writing to express my interest in the vacancy you have for a part-time research assistant. I am very interested in this position because it is in my area of expertise. My current field of study is Nanoengineering, which I am following at California University, San Diego.

My past experience was in a closely related engineering field. Additionally, I have participated in two international research projects as a research assistant. I feel that the knowledge and experience gained would be pertinent to this position and would make me a valuable addition to the project team.

According to the advertisement, the position begins in July of this year, which is perfect for me as I will be available from the end of June.

Please find enclosed my full resume and details of the previous research projects I worked on and I hope you will consider my application for the position favorably.

I look forward to hearing from you and thank you in advance for considering my application.

Yours faithfully
