IELTS Writing How to Answer Task 2 Essay Question
IELTS Writing Task 2 Robots Essay
As robots improve and become more useful, they can perform some jobs normally done by humans. This trend of robots replacing humans is a disruptive technology because it interferes with workers' employment and livelihoods. Robots could replace human labor in several areas such as agriculture, construction, and even health care.
On the other hand, robots can also help people with work rather than replace them entirely. Some robots may make life easier for humans. For example, robots can do dangerous work like deep-sea mining, so fewer lives would be lost if robots were to fail. Robots also allow people to focus on the things they enjoy doing rather than completing repetitive tasks constantly. Freedom from such monotonous work is advantageous as it frees humans to pursue more meaningful activities.
However, robots often take jobs away from humans. Experts predict that robots could potentially replace 47 percent of current jobs in the U.S. by 2033, according to a report by Forrester Research and the Economist. Another study predicts robots may be responsible for destroying 5 million jobs in the United States in the next ten years. Such a disruptive change would severely cripple attempts at economic recovery. One industry in which robots have already rendered most human labor obsolete is agriculture. Machines such as tractors and harvesters now do most of what humans did manually 30 years ago.
Overall, there would seem to be more advantages than disadvantages to robots replacing humans in many work environments. Robots are more efficient, don't complain or require health benefits, can do jobs that people cannot do well (such as heavy construction). In addition, robots do not raise labor issues such as disputes over pay or working conditions. However, robots are also capable of rendering entire industries obsolete for human workers. If, indeed, robots become responsible for doing half the work currently done in the United States within ten years, what happens when robots become even more intelligent?

Do You Need Some Ideas for Advantages and Disadvantages of Robots Essay IELTS Writing Task 2
What are some advantages of robots at work IELTS?
There are a few advantages of robots at work.
- For one, robots are very efficient and fast workers.
- They can also be programmed to do specific tasks, which means robots can have multiple purposes in a factory or office setting.
- Additionally, robots don't get tired and can work for longer hours than humans.
- This makes robots ideal for jobs that are strenuous or require long hours.
- Finally, robots don't require breaks or vacation time, so they can always be working.
What are some disadvantages of robots at work IELTS?
There are several disadvantages of robots at work.
- Robots can't handle the unexpected. If something unexpected happens on the job, robots can't respond the same way humans can. They may not be able to make decisions in dynamic situations - something that could cause mistakes or even accidents.
- Robots can't think creatively. When it comes to tasks that require creativity or out-of-the-box thinking, robots are at a disadvantage compared to human workers. They don't solve problems or come up with new ideas the way people can.
- Robots could take jobs away from humans. One of the potential disadvantages of more robots at work is that human workers become obsolete in some types of work. This is a concern for many people, as there is concern that robots will eventually be able to do most or all of the jobs currently done by humans.
- Robots are expensive. Another disadvantage of using robots in the workforce is their cost. They cost a lot of money to buy and maintain. This may limit their use to large manufacturing or technology companies that have the resources to afford them.
- Robots may be harmful to the environment. A potential disadvantage of using robots is that they may harm the environment. This is because many robots run on electricity, and this electricity often comes from power plants that generate greenhouse gases.
What's your opinion? Are we developing robots and AI that will eventually make humans obsolete?
