IELTS General Training Writing Task 1 Answer
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to ask you for advice regarding an item I recently came across while carrying out some construction work. The item in question was unearthed while excavating new foundations for an extension to a house, and was found at one of the deepest points of excavation on the site.
The item has the appearance of some kind of cooking or kitchen utensil rather like a shallow bowl or frying pan. I have enclosed a photograph so you can see the object and possibly offer some advice as to what it might possibly be.
I know that our town was developed on a historically important site in the past and would welcome any further information or insight you might be able to offer regarding this item. I would be happy to visit you at the museum and bring the artifact with me if you would like to examine it more closely.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
