Sample Answer

The table and chart above provide information regarding visitor numbers to the Ashdown Museum and the level of satisfaction experienced, according to a visitor survey, for two different periods: pre-and-post-renovation of the museum.

Overall, the table shows the total number of visitors to the museum increased considerably by the end of the year following the renovations. Visitor numbers rose to 92,000 from 74,000 in the year before the renovations.

Importantly, the overall level of satisfaction reported by visitors to the museum increased following the renovations. The number of visitors surveyed post-renovations who said they were very satisfied with their visit increased from 15 to 35; more than doubling. The number of visitors who felt their visit had been satisfactory also increased, from 30 to 40. Notably, there was a significant reduction in the number of visitors who considered their visit to have been unsatisfactory, dropping from 40 to only 15; the single largest change in the visitor survey results. The number of visitors who felt very dissatisfied with their visit to the museum also decreased by 50%, from 10 to 5. The number of non-responses to the visitor survey remained unchanged, at 5.

In general, the data provided illustrates the positive impact the museum renovation project had on the satisfaction levels of museum visitors.
